1995 Viking 43 Express

A serious fishing machine with tremendous eye appeal. The Viking 43 Open was the produced from 1994 to 2002. One of Viking's most popular models and was one the best-selling express fisherman in her class. She has an excellent deck layout - the helm is centered on the raised bridge deck and the steps leading down to the cockpit are offset to starboard. This permits a full set of in-line tackle centers and a center-line access door to the engine room. A fish box is built into the cockpit sole and there is a transom door, as well as a transom live-well. The single stateroom is cabin has wide open salon with a big u-shaped settee (converts to sleep 2) and a roomy galley.

In 2018 "Tres Ninos" the owner had the helm deck seating professionally removed and in its place, there was a custom fish box built in. It is cooled with a saltwater slurry system. At the same time the generator was replaced with a new commercial Kubota 15kw generator.

She is a muscular fishing boat with tremendous eye appealand a good performer with 6V-92TA's. the 550hp engines have proven to be reliable, and a good power selection. This boat sports a custom look with no pulpit, and a custom helm with provisions for the latest electronics. Her light use and meeticulous maintenance make "Playing Hooky" an excellent choice.

Interior Accommodations & Walk-Through

One stateroom, with one head, galley and salon, with a satin finished teak interior and new carpet through out in 2021. Interior central vacuum system.

SALON-GALLEY:

Huge L shaped leather sofa with hide away bunk that opens to a double bed. The rest of the sofa has a generous amount of storage below. The entertainment center is forward to port featuring a remote controlled TV and stereo system with speakers in the salon, helm deck, cockpit and owners stateroom. The Salon and Galley have a separate A/C system, also with reverse style heating and a built in dehumidifier controlled through an SMX digital control system.

MASTER Stateroom:

Center-line queen berth Mirrored anchor locker bulkhead. Two overhead reading lamps, hull side shelves, hull side stowage lockers at eye level (two port, three starboard), port side hanging locker with cedar liner, padded hull sides, indirect lighting and a stereo speaker. This stateroom also has a separate A/C system with reverse style heating and built in dehumidifier operating through an SMX digital control panel. There are three large drawers below the berth and extra large storage below the berth forward.

HEAD:

The head is private to the owner’s stateroom and accessible from the Salon and Galley area. There is a full sized stand up separate shower stall, all Gelcoat interior for easy maintenance, fresh water VacuFlush head with holding tank, a full sized sink, vanity, mirror and plenty of towel storage below the sink. The deck is Vinyl and the head is air conditioned, temperature controlled from the owners stateroom.
